Stanford Rivers

Carpenter 1818

 

Hudgell Ann & William (2) 1818 sis, bil & neph

 

I give and bequeath to my nephew William Hudgell all and singular the freehold messuage or tenement with all and every the appurtenances thereto belonging and which is situate on Toot Hill, Stanford Rivers and is now in the occupation of Edward Leach labourer.

I give and bequest the same unto my aforesaid nephew to his and his heirs and assigns for ever.

Also I give and bequeath unto my said nephew William Hudgell all and every part of my stock in trade (and) my working tools of every description to him and his heirs for ever also I hereby will and direct the the whole of the monies arising from my book debts shall be equally divided between by said nephew William Hudgell my sister(s) Ann the wife of William Hudgell Senior Elizabeth the wife of Thomas Bass, Susannah the wife of John Read and Mary the wide of John Wollmer to be divided between them in equal shares share and share alike.

Also i hereby give and bequeath my freehold barn and hoppett containing an acre or there about situated at Toot Hill aforesaid.

Also the whole of my household furniture, wearing apparel and all other my personal property whatsoever and where so ever i give and devise the same of my said sisters, Ann Hudgell, Elizabeth Ball, Susannah Read and Mary Wollmer to be divided between them in equal shares and share alike.............

In the case of the death of any of them, their share to their children............hereby will and direct that my said barn and hoppett also my household furniture shall be sold by public auction within six months after my decease and monies arising from such sale (after payment of the mortgage) shall be equally divided among my sisters as above directed and lastly I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint Mr Fishpool Neville of Toot Hill, Stanford Rivers, farmer and said nephew William Hudgell executors of this last will and testament.

Will made 7th January 1818 proved 19th March 1818 by Fishpoole Nevill and William Hudgell.
