Ellen Hudgell

1878 - 1968

  She was raised in her early life in Hawstead Road Lawshall in Suffolk, then moving on to Harrow Green Lawshall and 10 years later working as a domestic servant  in the employment of Thomas Clegg a Mineral Water Manager of 22 Crown Street Bury St Edmunds Suffolk.

  After Bury St Edmunds, Helen worked for the Frere family at Roydon Hall, Norfolk. There she met her future husband George Palmer who worked on the estate as a gamekeeper. They were married at Roydon Parish church on 29th October 1903.

  Their 3 children where all born in Roydon:

     William          b.1904

     Dorothy Kate  b.1906

     Edith Helen    b.1909

  Ellen died aged 90 in 1968 in Gt Yarmouth Norfolk
